beach breeze

we first met several years ago while she was starting off in photography and not only trusted me to document her family but also encouraged me to do my thing in such a genuine way.  it is common for me to approach a session a bit more concerned with what i think the client wants vs how i enjoy documenting, so when given that okay, i find my creativity and inspiration flourish.

and when her kids asked me to come over after the beach and insisted on holding my hand throughout the session, i was quite smitten.

this session is my ideal.  creative freedom mixed in with complete trust is MAGIC!

here is them last year

steak & eggs.

starting this month, i will be offering day in the life type sessions.  simply, tiny moments that make up your everyday.  we all know time flies, so why not document your life now, the routine, the messy, the connections and the love.  real and unscripted.

this is what a morning at this house looks like.

better together

a daddy that is home for a bit.  two little girls that ooze with cuteness.  a mommy that is thrilled to be whole.  and a beautiful summer sun.

family reunion at the lake.

shortly after her family booked a lake house for a week in summer, alison contacted me regarding a session.  she wanted to take advantage of having everyone together!  i showed up as the kids were running around and fishing, adults enjoying some cocktails and the grill getting started up.  it was easy, relaxed and well, i could have stayed for hours, had i not had to get back to my responsibilities - this is exactly how i love my sessions to go!
